Films & videos
Jan has been making films and videos for years:-
Deported
Jan is working on a new film showing the very different fates that befell people deported from Poland to the Soviet Union during 1939 - 46. He would be very pleased to hear from those, including especially Polish Jews, who lost relatives in Katyń, who escaped to the West with the new Polish army created under General Anders, who fought all the way to Berlin under General Berling, who remained in exile and/or who returned to Poland after the War.
Uncles and others (2014)
On one country estate they hid a Jewish Senator, whereas on another a wedding party was massacred by the SS. Jan's mother's sister was killed in the Warsaw Rising of 1944. After the War one uncle left Poland and worked at Radio Free Europe in Paris trying to broadcast the truth into communist Poland. Another stayed in Poland and ended up working closely with government figures such as General Jaruzelski. Jan talks to other people about the dramatic years 1945 - 1951 and 1981-2. Uncles and Others.
